An illuminated being, once an album by Lacrimosa, now also a german band. A quartet who are readying us for their debut album which is set to be finished later this year. Cool cover art, it sure looks interesting with german titles and everything. A good promise, but just an EP and we have to be more patient before the album sees the light of day.

One thing striking me when listening to melodic metal/rock bands who sing in the german language is how similar they all sound. I can count lots of band which sounds quite a lot like these guys. The three songs has melodies, complexity, good structure, they are all in the mid tempo range and none are too complex to take in. They do have depth making them work quite well in the longer run even though you tend to bore with the songs after playing the EP through a few times in a row. I think too short things are as much a pain as the long one as you end up repeating them several times until the songs are bleeding out of your ears and you have to turn it of before your head implodes. But it is a well produced album, the sound is great much like many other great german speaking bands. Only thirteen minutes, that’s not much but maybe it is a good taste of what is to come.

If this is any indication we have an exciting album to look forward to because with tracks like these in a forty minute album with a bit of conceptual content making it an epic exciting album we will have something truly magnificent. This EP though feels more like one of those sneak previews or something, we should not have to pay for such a thing. It is a bit like a promo piece, well made and it promises well, maybe if it is cheap it will be worth it. Maybe you could buy it on the iTunes or something like that.

These guys shows a lot of promise, their music is strong, interesting and exciting. I think they could how waited until the album was finished before presenting themselves. Sure the EP has some merit in that it is a good show of music. Very good, songs but I tend to get bored with it fairly quickly. One or two more songs would have made it a lot better.

HHHHHHH
