A quartet of wild souls from Greece are here with their second album that is a game of love, an album they hope will earl some love from the crowds and why shouldn’t it? It presses all the buttons the internet reviewers salivate over. Before I write my views on this new album I will give you a very brief history lesson; the band was formed in 2010 and their debut album was released in 2013 and it was (of course) praised by critics. In other words it looks like this is another one of those hundreds of top ten albums released each year.

It is melodic rock/AOR with catchy choruses and some strong melodies. Average production and vocalist for the genre, and the typical selection of songs on an album the offers no surprises. But I am sure they will receive rave reviews like most albums in this genre but to me the best thing is that the 41 minutes the album plays keeps it short enough not to feel repetitive. I would say that the variation is typical of the genre and this variation is heard on nine tracks – nine good tracks.

I wouldn’t say that it is an album that has me jumping from joy, but it is a solid effort that offers more or less what one can expect from looking at the artwork. I doubt it will be disappointing for those who buy the album but I also doubt it will be a favourite album to them. The best track of the nine good tracks is the video track Shame on You that you can hear below, and if you do listen to it you will probably understand that this album is one of those good albums that will be lost in the masses of similar albums that is being released each month of each year.

My conclusion is that Game of Love is a good album, a nice piece to listen to plain and simple. But it is also a rather average album and certainly not a very memorable one, it is a safe choice with tracks we have heard before – they simply go for the tried and tested choice.
