The league transporting stuff is back with a new effort, this time transporting napalm bats and suicide dogs – a kind of volatile cargo that would call for some heavy machinery one might think. To me this was an album that looked kind of exciting considering what I thought about the latest effort by the band that I reviewed about a year ago. This album has a similarly styled cover art and I think the same guys produced it so chances are that it is an album building on what they did last time around.

Musically it is the same kind of thing, can be described like boogie rock gone evil meaning that it is a bit groovy, little touch of boogie rock, some rough edges, plenty of energy and a vocalist that has a rather rough vocal style. The songs are fairly varied over an album that shows a short and to the point playing time; in fact the album is mostly straight to the point with simplistic song structures and straight to the point choruses. The production is great for the style with a modern sound, polished yet rough around the edges, as is a trademark of many strong albums in the modern rock/metal genre.

The vocalist suits the album very well, the coarse vocals and the raw powerful styles makes for a strong combination. And overall I would describe this as a strong album, the songs are all good and I would say that the overall quality is somewhat better than the latest album I reviewed. However, the peaks of the latest album were far higher than they are on this album so this is both better and worse than its predecessor. And I would say it is the same as the previous album in an overall rating, it is great when at its top but you sense that this guys should have delivered something much stronger than this.

The opening track Hallelujah Vampire is the best album on the album; to me it is the highlight. The following tracks are of a good quality but nothing that quite grab me and in the end I think it would mostly appeal to fans of the band or those who like the similar bands. I think it is quite similar to the predecessor, it is good but doesn’t really take off and I cannot really see why these obviously very competent musicians cannot make a better album than this. If you liked Boogie From Hell you will like this album as well.
