I did one of my first interviews ever with the man that later became the leader of Finnish Finntroll, the keyboardist called Trollhorn (horn from troll). Originally I had tried to get the interview through their record label, but they said the band was unable to reach so I tried by sending an e-mail to the band and a couple of days later I rang Trollhorn up and we did our interview. These days he weren't very used to doing interviews, in fact this was only his second interview and the first ever over phone. So he was quite nervous, and so was I. This was before we had enough experience not to get all overexcited by speaking with these "gods" and this time I was so nervous I even had some difficulties with my English, which I for some reason thought was important enough to write in the magazine. Today I would never do such a think since it's completely irrelevant information, but somehow that's quite representative for how we did things in our first issue. A total inexperience of everything and what we did was decent but filled with beginners flaws. Some might call it "charmy" or "entertaining" but it definitely wasn't professional - or fun to read either. Now, I'm not saying we're professional these days (or fun to read), but we're definitely more readers friendly. Though if we're more friendly in what we're write I don't know. And I'm sure some will say it was better in the past, in our case because it was more honest and "true" or something. Me, I think we're thousands and thousands of times better.
The reason why we've chosen to give this interview new light are many. Partly it's because it's quite an unique interview with Trollhorn (his first by phone and second real interview ever with Finntroll). This was before the big success and before Somnium fell off an bridge and came to Valhalla. And besides this, Trollhorn say some funny stuff. And I think the article looks great in the new design.
