When Game Zero returns with album number two, they think that they are right. That is one title you can use, but right about what? Right about the music? Their debut album Rise that we reviewed a few years ago was relatively well received, but it is probably fair to say that we weren’t blown away with what we heard. Like on that album we find a dozen tracks on this one, it starts with the title track.

Classic hardrock of modern flavour with good production and vocals, it can be described as a very strong production. Kind of the same as the previous album, this one doesn’t offer anything new or anything that they didn’t do on the debut album a few years ago. Kind of a pointless sequel in that regard, and the songs don’t show much variation or depth and it is a bit long.

It is a bit ironic that the ending song title reflects how I see this album, Full of Nothing. How about that for giving us the catchphrase to describe the album? Perhaps they are right about something, right about the full of nothing thing. It is a fairly dull album overall; it feels less relevant than the debut and it is certainly not more memorable. Sure, there are some fine moments on the album, like the title track and some other parts along the album, but overall I would say that the ending track title very well describes how I view this album.

If you liked the debut album Rise it would be a good chance that you like this one as well, the same might be true if you are fan of the standardised hard rock music. No one will probably hate the album but I have a hard time seeing that it will make much of an impression as it is full of nothing. I think that we are right here at Hallowed when we claim that this album will not even make a dent in the world of music.
