We have reviewed most of what Sonic Syndicate have done in the past and never been really impressed, before now. I think this is the best they have done to date as they have left the modern melodic death metal behind in favour of something more modern and significantly more interesting. I should point out that I have not heard their 2014 album so they could have begun this transformation with that one so it took more or less ten years for them to actually make something really worthwhile, but in my view it was worth waiting for.

Catchy and melodic pop metal with catchy choruses, strong vocals and an excellent production – that is how I would describe this new album by Sonic Syndicate. Maybe someone would moan about them not growling and grunting all the way through but I don’t care about that as it sounds better when they aren’t. The songs number a dozen and they play for 44 minutes, and during those 44 minutes we get a decent variation – although I think a little bit more tempo would have benefitted the album even more.

Could have benefitted from a bit more tempo but it is a good album nevertheless, catchy and strong. I like it and can recommend it, and I think it is Sonic Syndicate’s most daring and interesting as well as good album to date. I would describe it as a very strong album; it even looks kind of good and exciting. Their confessions are great all the way to the closure halfway down the road. And speaking of confessions and closure, I should add that those are the names of the best two tracks on this album.

Conclusion is that we have an impressive album with great tracks and energy, it is a very enjoyable album – I think you should get it.
