We have a day of Kloneing on Hallowed today, as Pelagic has rereleased three of their releases in 2016 and I have listened to them all, two albums and one EP and this is the final one I review – the EP. It was originally a two track EP that was released in 2011 and it sits stylistically in the middle of the two albums I have just reviewed. Pretty wide musical span but just two tracks makes it seem a bit on the short side.

On this new issue we get three bonus tracks one is called Monster, a track that is also on the Black Days album reissue. Then they add two live versions of the first two songs. This has less to go than the album but stylewise I think it is better than the album that preceded it but not fantastic. I would have wanted more, kind of like the album that came after. The best thing about this EP is that it shows that this is a strong band; it is a solid release but not really great.

I think this is a good one but they have done better things that I think could be better and wiser to spend time and money on the latest albums they have done instead. The reissue of the album The Dreamer’s Hideaway is the best choice of the three reissues, this one is more for the one collecting Klone-releases, it is a good release but not really that amazing and its best feat is probably that it showcases a quality band more than a quality release.
