Spanish girls with broken underwear, sounds exciting… mind drifting a little bit there, it is a quartet of young ladies releasing their debut work, they call it an album in the press release even though it is only five tracks and less than 20 minutes of music. This is work that was recorded and mastered by a man named Santana, just not the more famous man with that name. Sure they have a cool name, a name that stands out amongst many less funny names but what about the music, is it as sexy?

Well, musically it is not that unique, not that exciting. It is a catchy album with plenty of energy, the girl singing suits the style of this band very well but she is a fairly typical girl singing rock music in that regard. I think that if you know the similar bands you know this band. Their lying words are relatively well produced but maybe not a thing that stands out. It is five tracks on this album, they are quite similar in style but thanks to the short playing time you will not grow bored with it too easily and you can even play it again without getting too bored as well. Sure one could wish for more originality but at least you get plenty of energy and five catchy songs.

I think that this is a good album, no doubt about that as it is both entertaining and quite enjoyable. Fans of the similar bands will probably find it very agreeable, I do as well. Thing is though that it is quite easy to grow a bit tired with it as it tends to become a bit repetitive and predictable quite quickly. I think I would have liked to hear something that was more of the band’s own voice and not one more girl band on the rock stage as we have heard this before and they do not sound any dissimilar compared with the three similar bands for instance. As a critic I always want thinks that are either much better than anything I have heard before or different from anything I have heard before and this is neither. But the band is young and they will probably have a fairly long future as musicians during which they can find their own voice. I believe they are talented enough to do so; they just need to do it.

Best are the first and the final track but there isn’t much to chose between the tracks on the album. So in the end I can recommend that anyone confessing him- or herself as fans of the similar bands or their peers to take a look at this album. I think it is enjoyable enough to give a chance, I hope this band will do some great stuff as I like their name.
