One of the well-kept secrets of the German metal scene it is said, this weakening metalcore band from said nation. It features a cover art with a man with a hole in himself, one has to wonder what can accomplish such a thing. It looks a bit nasty. Touching on well-kept secrets again, I think that is fairly right considering that this is the first I ever hear about these guys and this is their second album and they were formed back in 2005 which is a while ago. Made for the best entertainment they say in the press information for this album, lets see about that.

Metalcore it is, well the best way to in a word describe them at least. But you can add things like death metal, thrash metal, heavy metal and a few other genres as well. Thing is though it sounds like modern extreme metal, dual vocals harcorish growls in tandem with clean vocals. These vocals are fairly typical of the genre and the music of these guys isn’t the most groundbreaking I have ever heard but they sound fairly fresh. Very strong production, not as polished as most new stuff, they have a bit more edgy production with decent power and melody. And variation, the playing time of over 55 minutes is well bearable thanks to a good variation over the songs.

I think we can declare this a success in many regards, it is a quality product, it has quality songs and this reviewer like it. Strangely enough I found a few very negative reviews of this album, although reading them it is quite clear that the reviewers has a thorn in the side to anything called metalcore so maybe they are not to trust anyway. I don’t think the album has anything really negative about it, it is solid from start to end and the only thing you might think to criticise is the vocals and the apparent lack of originality even though these well tested elements in the hands of Enfeeble becomes something decently fresh. So in the end I can conclude that you would be quite silly not to recognise the quality in this band no matter if you like them or not.

There are thirteen tracks on the album, they are all good but I think that the intro and its companion track are very good. Then I also like the ending trio of tracks that I think are a great way to round off the album. I have to conclude that this is a strong album with enjoyable music, maybe it is entertaining as they say in the press info. Well, I think this is a very good album and you would be wise to have a closer look at it.
