What is Hallowed?

Observe that this is an old text written when we started this web publication some time ago and it has some out of date information due to the fact that the direction of this publication has somewhat changed since the start. We plan to have this information updated soon after the site is operational.

Hallowed is a music magazine about heavier music genres, i.e. rock, hard rock, metal, punk-rock, grunge, goth and synth. Hallowed is not printed on paper like other magazines, instead it’s made as a pdf, which is available to download from our website – www.hallowed.se.

We have chosen to not print our magazine for several reasons, except the one everyone is talking about at the moment – enviromental (no waste of paper, ink, unecessary tansportations etc.) we do this because we now can make a bigger, nicer, funnier and better magazine, which is cheaper to produce, easier to get, faster in production and is possible to make in different languages – without leaving the magazine form and malfunction with ugly, unintelligible websites. Even though, we can use all the Internets functions: linked ads, reviews and e-mail adresses etc. into infinity. How simple isn’t it as a reader to pre-listen to the album you are reading the review for only with a simple click? How easy isn’t it for a label to be seen when their ads leads the reader directy to their website?

Hallowed is made in two languages, Swedish and English. By time we hope to expand to develop into even more languages! The magazine has no limitations in space, so it is possible to make as big articles as we please, sell unlimited number of ads and never worry about not having enough space.
